Growing up, my mother played the piano all of the time. She accompanied soloists, duets, trios, quartets, choirs, musicals, symphonies - a LOT of people. As I grew up , I started to sing along with her playing. In 2006, I decided on my visit home for Christmas that I would get her into a studio so that I could get a studio quality recording of her playing. Her agreement was that if she played that I would have to join her and sing along for a few of the songs. I said, yes. And then I talked my dad into going along for the ride so that he could sing a song that he sang often in our childhood.
